Green Wall Maintenance: What Keeps It Thriving?

A green wall is not a facade; it is a living system. Irrigation, light and regular inspections are the three conditions for its longevity.

An indoor green wall with shade-loving plants

A green wall has little margin for error because its growing medium is limited in volume. An interruption to irrigation lasting a few days can kill some of its plants.

Light

Indoors, providing enough light is the most important factor. If natural light is limited, supplementary lighting with an appropriate spectrum and a defined schedule is needed.

Regular Inspections

Monthly inspections include checking drippers, feeding, light pruning and replacing weak plants.
